The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is seeking applications for two Postdoctoral Researchers in machine learning and computational modeling as part of the project Foundations of a Resilient Microbiome. The positions focus on identifying pathways involving the gut-brain axis that link the infant microbiome with neurodevelopment and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The successful candidates will work in an interdisciplinary research environment integrating AI, dynamical models, metabolomic and metagenomic data, and experimental collaboration. The project is part of the Wellcome Leap FORM initiative and offers opportunities to engage with a broad multidisciplinary community at UCSB.
The positions are 100% time, with an anticipated start date between May and October 2026, and a duration of two years. Salary ranges from USD 69,073 to 82,836 per year.
